From the beginning, we wanted our ultra marathon stage races to have as broad an impact as possible. We have witnessed our many alumni use our racaes as a platform for them to raise funding for causes which mean a lot to them. This is very powerful and inspiring. Over the years, we have chose three charities which have a connection with us. In addition to doing our part to help those less fortunate than ourselves, we would like our charitable giving to inspire others to do the same. We therefore strongly encourage those of you who do not have a commitment to a charity of their own, to join us in our choice of charities, so that we together can have a more meaningful impact on their work.
We currently support three charities:
Best Friends Animal Society
Our Mission: To end the killing in America's animal shelters and create a time when there are No More Homeless Pets. We do this by building community programs and partnerships all across the nation. We believe that by working together we can Save Them All.
Kane County Children's Justice Center
Our Mission: The Children's Justice Center is a homelike facility, which serves children and families who are experiencing the crisis and chaos that comes with the disclosure of significant physical or sexual abuse of a child. The Center is designed to help children feel safe and comfortable so that they may begin to deal with the difficult and often frightening issues that surround abuse.
Our Mission: Encourage youth to reach beyond their perceived limits, and to use adventure as a medium to educate, inspire and empower our global community to make positive change in the world. The vision of i2P is to use adventure to cultivate a generation of leaders, whose direct experiences and education will prepare them to lead social and environmental action all across the world.
